Develops class-A production surface math data for Design Center. Supports the surface development process for successful on-time with quality releases. Work is highly creative. Work duties involve a high degree of skill, accuracy and coordination under general supervision.
- Provides digital surface math data that meets production surface standards
- Is knowledgeable in the areas of design and product engineering process
- Ensures communication between Design Center and Engineering
- Verifies and develops math data that meets the quality standards
- Resolves technical design and engineering conflicts

Ensures adherence to Corporate standards
- Knowledgeable in the vehicle development process
- Keeps abreast of new product and design process technology
- Advises first line supervisor about project status and timing of their assignments
Qualifications
Basic Required Skills
- 2 to 5 years experience in developing digital class-A math data surfaces
- Able to demonstrate a proficient to expert level of performance in developing class-A production interior or exterior surfaces
- Training in the use and maintenance requirements of computer graphics software system of Alias and/or NX
- Current experience and proficient in surface development using UGNX or Alias computer graphics software systems
- Experience in working with creative designers, engineers, and manufacturing
- UGNX solid modeling experience is an advantage
- General knowledge and experience working with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Experienced in the analysis of surface math data
- Proficient in technical engineering and manufacturing requirements
- Understands vehicle packaging/architecture and integration requirements
- Capability of estimating surface development time
Basic Preferred Skills
- UGNX solid modeling experience is an advantage
Education Requirements
- Associates degree or higher or equivalent technical training/experience
