General Motors Tools Team

The IT tools team is focused on implementing tools to run IT operations and providing go forward strategy for integrated tools suite. The team architects, engineers, develops, tests, and deploys these solutions using the Agile methodology.

About the role:

The GMIT Senior Integration Architect will be part of the Enterprise Architecture team. The Integration and automation architect will primarily be responsible for working with the Application Architect and the functional organizations to map the ‘go forward’ integration IT tools architecture within GM IT data centers. Job responsibilities will include the assessment of infrastructure needed to meet GMIT Data Center standards, and working with the Data Center Transformation Team to acquire the hardware and execute the moves into the DC’s. This role requires very strong technical skills, attention to detail, ability to work across teams, good communication, influencing, and negotiation skills. The GMIT Integration Architect will be required to work with internal teams as well as external suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years information technology experience in a large scale commercial enterprise
- Must have strong working knowledge of Oracle BPM
- Must have hands on experience with HP APM, Rational Architect tools.
- Must have strong working knowledge in cloud automation preferably in CSA, SA, NA and OO
- Must have familiarity with multiple architectural, development and operational methodologies (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, ITSM, etc).
- Experience in ETL tools, preferably ConnectIt
- String experience in tools supporting development environment, e.g MS TFS, HP ALM, Jenkins, SVN, Fortify, etc
- Strategic Thinker
- Ability to see the Big Picture, but also engage in the Details
- Strong Technical Skills with Infrastructure focus
- Experience working with Global, Cross-functional Teams
- Solid Communication and Negotiation Skills
- Demonstrated ability to Deliver Results

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Knowledge and Proficiency in some of the following products/technologies:

- OS: Windows, VMware, Linux, solaris
- Network: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi
- Storage/BUR: EMC
- Services – LDAP, Active Directory

2) Familiarity with operational, build and security tools (uCMDB, AM, Service Manager, ArcSight, SVN, etc)

3) Knowledge of infrastructure platforms, data management, networking technologies and security frameworks and tools.

4) Experience with data architecture is preferred
